| 9. To those who from the period of their birth have not been covetous of earthly riches; but have regarded themselves as a breath passing away. Such has been their conduct; and much has the Lord tried them; and their spirits have been found pure, that they might bless his name.

Dem som allt ifrån sin födelse icke haft begär till jordiska rikedomar, utan ansett sig såsom en förbifarande andedrägt. Sådant har deras uppförande varit, och mycket har Herren ransakat dem, och deras andar hafva befunnits rena, på det de måtte välsigna Hans namn.

och dem som i alla sina lifsdagar icke åstundade jordisk föda, utan ansågo sig själfva som en förgänglig fläkt och lefde därefter och vordo på mångfaldigt sätt pröfvade af Herren, men hvilkas andar befunnos rena för att prisa hans namn.
